         A French lecture, given by Betrand Dessane who is the artist director in Marseille European scene artistic creation and training center and Lyon Iraqit of scene artistic creation and training center, was successfully held in the classroom of the College of International Studies.
        The lecture mainly involves the breakthrough of French contemporary art scenes and the differences between the modern art form and traditional stage art form, etc. The French teacher Ms. Cao jing worked as the on-site French interpreter for this lecture.
        Students from this College and those interested in French and French culture from other colleges attended the lecture to appreciate the elegant French pronunciation and improve their French proficiency.
        The whole lecture was stringed by displaying series of wonderful art works. Splendid moments of the performing artists on Paris church, natural and highly expressive style of art scene on the exotic streets, irony art works expressing the bound for themselves in the open cage at the gate of the park, etc. In addition, Mr. Betrand displayed to us various wonderful scene art works. Under the visual impact from the art works, together with Ms. Cao Jing’s accurate translation, students present acquired a better understanding of the European art scene. When the lecture was drawing the end, students expressed their hope for Mr. Betrand’s coming again to give more wonderful lectures on France and French culture.
